About Giulia Cuzzilla

My name is Giulia Cuzzilla and I am a literacy specialist living in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne. As a Multisensory Structured Language Specialist, I am qualified to work with children with dyslexia and dysgraphia, as well as children with literacy difficulties related to ADHD, anxiety, and developmental or language delays.

I also have a two and a half year old daughter who is the driving source of my passion in early years literacy. It has been through raising my own child that I began to look further into the role that early childhood plays in our children’s future success as readers and writers.

Readingish is the coming together of all my passions, ideas and research into ensuring that no child gets lost on the road towards literacy.

Did you know that 90% of brain development happens in the first five years of life?

I am not suggesting that you must teach your child to read before they are of school age. Instead what I want to suggest that you can provide your little one with a rich learning environment in your home that ensures that your child has exposure to vocabulary, print, songs, quality literature and so much more. It is in building a solid foundation in the early years through daily routines and through play, that your child will flourish and thrive once they are ready to learn how to read and write.

About Readingish

Too many children do not have exposure to the basic building blocks of literacy before they get to school, which puts them on the back foot before they even begin formal instruction.

You'll find my workbooks an invaluable resource in giving your child a head start in literacy at home before they start school.

About Literacy on the Hill
